On leaving college with A level art I went to Farnham Art College to do a Foundation course and decided that graphic design was what I wanted for a career. I learned on the job and worked in the industry on a drawing board with Rotring pens, swapping them for an Apple Mac when the digital age came!

I had done very little painting other than a few watercolours in my 20s until I watched Sky Arts Portrait of the Year and I felt inspired to paint again.

In the mean time I had started my own business running a silver jewellery shop online www.indigo-silver.co.uk and whilst working from home was lovely in many ways with working around the family

and coming and going as I pleased, I really missed the office banter

and the company.

I was fortunate to find a local painting group run by a fabulous artist Jamel Akib with lovely people in an old barn in December 2016 and here is where I found my happy place!

I started using acrylic paints for the first time and liked them straight away... attempting portraits and later animals.

I am now at a stage where I have sold several pieces, I've shown in

a few exhibitions and have completed several commissions.

I hope you like browsing my gallery - If you would like to buy or enquire about any pieces please get in touch via the contact page

or give me a call. Also if you are interested in commissioning a piece of work I would be happy to discuss and to give a quote.
